JTCC SPORT UPDATE - Week 6
Once again we had wet weather hamper our sports plans this week. MISA round 3 went ahead for sports scheduled indoors, with mixed results again for our teams. Overall positive feedback from the coaches, with improvements shown by all teams since last week. Remember, students who missed out on MISA or , there are many future opportunities to represent JTCC, keep an eye out on the Sport Bulletin Board in the A-block corridor and on the Compass Newsfeed.
The behaviour and participation from the majority was great, with everyone embracing the directive for this year to ‘be like Barty’. A reminder that consent for all sporting events must be given via the Parent Portal on Compass. Please ring the school if you have issues logging in or accessing Events.

Absolutely exciting game coming back from 10 points down. Overall the boys gave it theri best, but still need to focus and EXECUTE in the most pressurised situations. Well done. MVP - Garang Bol (20 points, 14 rebounds) |

10-12 GIRLS BASKETBALL |
vs. MCCC 4 -56 LOSS |
A tough game was brought by Mount Carmel by building a towering 22-0 lead at halftime. The JTCC girls rallied with a couple of successful buckets from Allanda L. but it was not enough as the game ended with the score being 56-4. The girls are learning with each game and should be excited to see their progression in the next game. On to the next one. MVP - Allanda Lumagai |

Today was a great game. First half we bowled, with Darcie and Laura getting two great wickets.Everyone’s bowling improved from last week, and the fielding was awesome. Lily joined us today, and she did so well for her first game. Second half saw us down by 18 runs but with Mia and Laura having a solid partnership saw us close the gap to a two point difference. Lots to learn for our next game. MVP - Ava Hilton |
