LENT REFLECTION
On Wednesday 2nd March we held a liturgy for Lent, beautifully led by our school leaders from our school chapel. Originally planned to be a whole school event in the Hall, this was changed at late notice due to the weather to be run via zoom to students in learning groups. At the liturgy, students were reminded that Lent is a period of preparation for Easter where we reflect, pray, fast, seek forgiveness, and have the opportunity to take action for others through Almsgiving.
At John Therry we support project compassion as a way to actively support communities around the world who are desperately in need. We ask students to particpate in the different events and opportunties in whatever way they can, as small actions can make a big difference when they are done collectively. We will continue to provide opportunities for our students to reflect on how they can lead a life of service and support to others, as Jesus did, to share their many gifts with others.
