STAGE 5 MUSIC PERFORMANCE EVENING
The Stage 5 Music Performance Night was held on Monday 13 May in F block at the school from 6.30-8.00pm. It is essential that students gain experience in performance to enhance their skills for the Music course. The Stage 5 Music students performed a piece from their current topics, Australian Music for Year 9 and Film Music for Year 10.
For this first concert experience students were asked to bring a peer, friend or family member to support them on the evening. This supportive audience assisted these students in gaining invaluable performance experience with their new repertoire on the evening. The performance component of the elective course is a crucial one, which all students need to experience. Listening and Composing components make up the three strands of the elective Music course.
Students who performed on the night were:
Year 10: Jarnika Anthony, Jordja Anthony, Ben Cooper, Joel Coskerie, Chris Hall, Natasha Kosztka, Damien Kovac and Damien Thomas
Year 9: Karen Attard, Corey Broughton, Megan Cain, Shane Cathro, Grace Diaz, Cameron Donaldson, Michael Fernandes, Chantel Gill, Liam Harber-Kerr, Adam Heaton, Riley Helm, Mani Jacob, Lachlan Jenart, Eli Matic and Imogen Rashleigh.
Thank you to all the parents, family members and friends who attended the evening. Special thanks to Mrs. Morton for her organization of this event, and to her fellow Music teachers Mrs. Blunden and Mrs. Curtis who gave valuable feedback to the students after the event.
