YEAR 8 VISUAL ARTS EXCURSION; CAMPBELLTOWN ARTS CENTRE
On Wednesday May 15th, the four Year 8 Visual Arts classes with Mrs. Fenessy, Mrs. O’Brien, Mr. Barton and Mr. Peters visited the Campbelltown Arts Centre. All up 90 students took part in this excursion. All students had their Critical Study Assessment Tasks on this excursion, using them as a basis for an in class task at school. In addition, students viewed the sculpture garden outside; examining three-dimensional form, which they are creating in their Artmaking at school. Student introduced to the gallery by the education officer initially, then allowed to viewed the different exhibition spaces in the gallery. One of the works of main focus was the sculptural work was called ‘Between Two Rivers’, referencing the local indigenous links in our community. Thank you to Mrs. Fenessy for organizing this excursion for Year 8.
