MATER DEI VISIT
Indigenous students head to Mater Dei Catholic School
On Wednesday 2nd June, 6 students from John Therry Catholic College visited Mater Dei Catholic School for an Indigenous Workshop. Students ran traditional Aboriginal activities such as dance, didgeridoo playing, weaving and art and showed great leadership skills when teaching the students of Mater Dei how to perform these skills. Over the course of the day, the Mater Dei students were constructing a handprint artwork that was completed and donated to the school (see attached photo). The John Therry students involved were great role models for our college and should be proud of themselves.
