PRINCIPAL UPDATE
It has been another busy and exciting week at John Therry with staff working hard to finalise semester one reports. A highlight of our week was the NAIDOC Assembly held on Thursday morning. This was a wonderful event with students heavily involved in the preparation and running of the assembly. I invite you to see the John Therry Facebook for some great photos of the event.
School Improvements
We are always looking to improve the environment at John Therry so students have a place they feel proud to come to. We believe this has flow on effects to their learning. I have included some photos below of what is happening at the moment for your interest.
Woodwork Demountable
We have been fortunate to pick up one of the new Woodwork demountables from the Diocese. These are larger rooms with state of the art equipment and will help cover the overflow we have for our Timber and construction classes. These are due to be operational for Week 9 and we will include some internal photos when finished.
Shade sail at the courts and bus bay area.
This space is being developed for students to use while waiting for buses, as well as before PDHPE and Sport classes. There are further gardening works to take place that will complement the gardens at the front of the Hall to finish the entry to the school.
