VAPING - INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Have you talked with your children about vaping yet?
We are aware that vaping is an issue across all schools at the moment and is a broader societal issue that we need to address. At John Therry, vaping is treated as we do any other illegal substance and any students caught vaping at school receives a suspension. Repeated use would see a students enrolment reviewed and we think it is important to take this strong stance against vaping by young people.
I encourage you to read the article below to learn a little more. The article is written by Paul Dillon who is an expert in drug education and works with schools right across Australia. We will add this issue to our agenda for the P&F meeting in week 8 and hope some of you can make it to share parent perspectives on the issue.
