PRINCIPAL UPDATE
The Month of May is traditionally the month we celebrate Mary, mother of Jesus and her important role in the Church. Mother's day also falls in May and we can look to Mary for some of the wonderful qualities we see in mothers, and can all aspire to such as courage, strength, hope, and unconditional love for our children amongst other things. As part of the celebration of Mary, I thank Mr Suares who has been leading the Rosary in the school chapel at lunchtime on Thursday's. Students receive a set of Rosary beads and a pamphlet on how to pray the Rosary, and then complete one decade of the Rosary together. I encourage students to come to the Chapel for this experience and see what it brings to you.
Automatic back gates
The gates to access the car park at the back of the school have now become fully automated, providing enhanced security of the school site. The gates open between 7-9am and then from 3-3:40pm of an afternoon. Outside these hours the gates are locked and access to the site needs to be made from the front of the school. There is limited access via this one way gate so it is not recommended as a regular pickup point. The streets are narrow and residents do rightly park on the street so we aim to limit traffic through this area.
