JT Win

The sweet sound of leather on wood met our ears as we entered the Mecca of basketball that is the Minto Basketball Stadium. We were struggling for numbers as we faced off against our eternal rivals St Pats. Memories of past defeats, coupled with fears about the scarcity of our players, weighed heavily on the minds at first. These fears were ill founded as the girls, nay young women, of JT destroyed the opposition. In a flurry of back screens, lay ups and tenacious D, the JT team proved too much for their bewildered opposition. While Sarah has been named as the player of the game, and rightly so, each and every player contributed to a win so resounding that it could change the very make up of basketball in the MacArthur.

MVP: Sarah White

Mrs Pellegrino

1 - 2

St. Pats Win

The first loss for the volleyball season but the girls did not let St Pats win easily. After losing the first set, or as the team likes to refer it as the 'warm up' set, the girls went into the second set with JT spirit, energy and a sense of teamwork. Winning the second set 25-12, the girls showed that they would not go down without a fight. However, after 7 straight points from St Pats in the third and final set, this got to the better of them, bringing down their confidence and forgetting the basics.

MVP: Gese Satuatasi

10-12 Girls Oztag

Mr Tran

2 - 6

St. Pats Win

It was an intense game of Oztag this week against St. Pats. Our girls were just too slow to get started and St. Pats gained momentum, handing us our first loss of the term.

MVP: Tess McEvoy-King

JT Win

We won the toss and our captain Laura decided to field. With our great catches, run outs and bowling, we used our skills to restrict St Pats to 61. Our batting was much improved this week, especially Annelise and Hemakshi, who scored a whopping 46 runs for our second pair. The girls showed great sportsmanship and their ability to take their hard work onto the pitch.

MVP: Hemakshi Kesani

7-9 Boys Softball

St. Pats Win

The girls made huge improvements this week. Their defence was outstanding and they have started to perfect their teamwork and communication. It was a tough game against St Patrick's with some great saves from our goalie Piage Halliday. We ended up with a loss 0-5. Player of the match was Kiara Jakobsson for her positive leadership skills and strong attacking play.

MVP: Kiara Jacobsson
