PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Last week I had the absolute pleasure to be able to attend the Year 12 Retreats. With half of the group going to the Hermitage in Mittagong and the other to Windbourne in Mulgoa. As Principal it is important that I try to attend and say hello, but more important not to interrupt the retreat process.
From the first introductory session to the emotional climax on the third day the program seeks to challenge and open the students to their best selves. Almost all students have a wonderful time and for many a profound growth occurs. The students returned on Friday afternoon and had an air of success and of joy, the happiness was visible for all to see and enjoy.
I sincerely thank Mr Robinson and Ms Adams for the work in preparation for the experience to be richer for the students and to the seventeen Staff who gave time away from their families to support the students on their three-day journey. If your child attended please take some time to discuss the sessions, the feelings, the sharings and the growth that they experienced.
YEAR 7 CAMP
I was also lucky enough to be able to visit the Yr 7 Camp at Teen Ranch in Cobbitty. The students had a ball on the canoes, horses, ropes, climbing, high swing and archery just to name a few of the activities. A big thank you to Mrs Stanley and Mr Tran for the organization and again to the Staff who attended to provide supervision and safety for the students.
