10-12 Boys Basketball |
Mr Peters |
Win 67 - 53 |
Despite being a few players down, the team stepped up against a much bigger opposition. Moses had a monster game - with 28 points and 18 rebounds, leading the team to victory. MVP: Moses Bartley |
10-12 Girls Basketball |
Mr Humbles |
Win 35-28 |
Missing a few key players due to Work Placement, injury and illness, we knew we were in for a tough game against a good Mt Carmel team. With only five of our regular players available, Danielle Newby and Reijeli Rayawa came along to lend a hand. Some tough defence by Shontay McClymont and some enthusiasm from Ash Ballard and Phoebe Phoumovong kept us just ahead of Mt Carmel throughout the first term. Into the second half, as players began to tire, Sarah White and Piper Takiari took over and led John Therry to a great victory 35 - 28 to leave us undefeated with one regular round game to go. MVP: Sarah White |
7-9 Boys Volleyball |
Mr Williamson |
Draw 2-2 |
A very close match so a fair result. Learnt a lot in terms of movement around the court and played better with each game. A good indicator of the level we are capable of. MVP: Talmage Nouata |
7-9 Girls Volleyball |
Mrs Pellegrino |
Loss 0-3 |
Another close game this week for the JT volleyball girls vs. Mt Carmel, a strong and consistent opposing team. With each set being only a few points difference, Mt. Carmel showed a much stronger side to win the set. A massive improvement from all girls, playing their best game against one of the strongest teams in MISA. MVP: Gese Satuatasi |
10-12 Girls Oztag |
Mr Tran |
Win 11-1 |
With a turn of the weather creating ominous grey clouds above, the forecast was dire. Would this translate and affect the ladies game play? No. Strong 11-1 winners against Mount Carmel with whipping passes from left to right and right to left creating as many holes in the defense as there were on the field. MVP - Madison Larner |
10-12 Boys Oztag |
Mr McGrath |
Win 6-4 |
Unfortunately we were limited to 8 players today which kept us with no bench for the whole game. The boys were fatigued late in the second half but found some energy to come home late in the game. Unfortunately the game was cut short due to injury and John Therry came away with the win as we were leading at the time. A very good second half boys well done! MVP Hayden Roberts |
7-9 Girls Indoor Cricket |
Mr Geribo |
Win 81-57 |
Mt. Carmel won the toss and JT was sent in to bat. The first pair got 24, the second got 16 runs, third got 10 and the last finished with 31. A solid total of 81 held off Mt. Carmel, who only managed 57. MVP: Laura Augustine |
7-9 Boys Softball |
Mrs. Stanley |
Win 8-6 |
Well done to the boys today, with a fantastic performance against Mt Carmel. We started stronger than we have in previous weeks and as a result were able to come away with the win. Some great running between bases today and exceptional batting from Mason McPhee scoring TWO home runs for the team. MVP: Mason McPhee |
7-9 Girls Hockey |
Mr Chapman |
Loss 0-2 |
A great display of effort and enthusiasm from the girls. Inexperience cost us a few chances, however being our first game it was a fantastic game. Well done ladies. MVP: Nikita Claassen |
