YEAR 8 PASTORAL DAY
The Year 8 Pastoral Day was held on Wednesday the 4th of September. We had presenters come from NET Ministries. These were young people from a Catholic organisation that came to our school to teach us about Jesus. They were interesting and they told us about their faith. One presenter did not believe in God until he came to a youth group and he started believing the teachings of Jesus. In the first session we listened to the presenters tell their stories of their faith journey.
We also did activities which included writing down five things you like about your friend. This activity helped us to give back positive things to our mates. In the second session we did a guided meditation. This was peaceful and relaxing and helped us to find inner peace. In the last session we went to the park and played “Hunger Games” and had a lot of fun with our year group and the teachers.This was a good day because it was relaxing and fun.
