YEAR 11 SLR INCURSION
On the 20th of September, 50 Year 11 Sports, Lifestyle and Recreation students celebrated the completion of their preliminary course with an outdoor education incursion. The students were treated to an 8m rock climbing wall and a combat archery arena where students could shoot and dodge rubber arrows. The students were split up into their classes and competed against the other SLR classes, as always these were competitive and enjoyable for all.
The students represented John Therry extremely well, which highlights their growth as young adults. SLR exists as a Year 11 and Year 12 subject for students who have shown interest in PDHPE during Years 7-10 and are looking to develop lifelong healthy habits through sport and physical activity. A big thank you to Mr Goodhew who organised a successful day. Thanks Year 11, Mr Bodeker, Mr Goodhew and Mr Webb
