YEAR 10 EXCURSION
Last term Year 10 students completed a fieldwork excursion to Wattamolla in the Royal National Park. They worked alongside National Parks and Wildlife Service Rangers and their teachers to conduct hands-on investigations both on the beach and within the forest.
The students explored the ecology of the area, collecting data to understand the unique relationships between plants, animals, and their environment. A key focus was investigating the impact of human activity on this delicate ecosystem. This included examining litter, erosion, and the strategies in place to manage visitors.
This invaluable experience not only helped them apply classroom concepts in a real-world setting but also developed their practical research skills and fostered a greater appreciation for environmental conservation.
