WINTER UNIFORM REMINDERS

Wearing our College uniform with pride reflects our shared values, fosters a sense of belonging, and upholds the respect and dignity of everyone in our community. By following our uniform guidelines, we demonstrate our commitment to each other and to the high standards that define our College. At our most recent College assembly, students were given some key reminders regarding uniform infringements and winter uniform items.

Processes relating to Uniform Infringements

  1. Learning Group Mentors check uniform each morning, and class teachers will monitor uniforms throughout the day. Uniform infringements are be recorded on Compass.
  2. The first uniform infringement will result in the confiscation of any relevant non-uniform items for the duration of the school day and a notification via Compass to parents and students.
  3. The second uniform infringement will result in the confiscation of any relevant non-uniform items for the duration of the school day and a notification via Compass to parents and students.
  4. The third uniform infringement will result in a lunch detention and students being placed on a Uniform Monitoring Card for one week.
  5. The fourth uniform infringement will result in an after school detention and continuation of the Uniform Monitoring Card.
  6. The fifth uniform infringement will lead to escalated consequences of an in school withdrawal and/or parent meeting with appropriate consequences decided, as well as a uniform review meeting with the Leader of Wellbeing and Pastoral Care.
  7. Students who do not attend lunch detentions for uniform infringements will be issued an afternoon detention. Students who do not attend afternoon detention will be placed on an in school withdrawal.
  8. For extreme breaches of the uniform policy, a student will be immediately withdrawn from classes until the situation is rectified, with parent/carer notified.
  9. The College reserves the right to confiscate items that do not meet the policy. Items of clothing or jewellery that do not conform with regulations will be confiscated and placed in a sealed envelope (for jewellery) and kept in the Wellbeing Office.

Winter Uniform Reminders

  1. The College sports jacket is not to be worn with the academic uniform.
  2. Should additional clothing layers be required in extremely cold conditions, non-uniform items must not be visible. This includes long sleeve undershirts that become visible under a short sleeve shirt or blouse.
  3. The College jumper is not part of the sports uniform. If additional warmth is required, the jumper is to be worn under the tracksuit. The jumper is not to be worn as the outer layer with the sports uniform.
