HSC MASTERCLASS
HSC Masterclasses: Enhancing Skills and Confidence for Exam Success
From Week 3 to Week 10 of Term 2, HSC students at John Therry Catholic High School participated in intensive Masterclasses across a majority of their courses. The subjects covered included:
- English
- Mathematics
- Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Investigating Science
- Business Studies, Legal Studies, Society & Culture & Modern History
- IPT
- Visual Arts, Drama & Music
- Cookery
Additionally, Weeks 1 and 2 of Term 3 are reserved for Masterclasses in CAFS and PDHPE.
The focus of these classes was on teacher-identified HSC skills required to help students approach their Trial HSC exams and the final HSC exams with more confidence and success. Students were engaged and very positive about the amount of learning they did during these classes.
This weeks highlight was the Business Studies Masterclass on Tuesday, 4th July, which focused on Multiple Choice skills. Students were particularly engaged and seemed to gain a lot from this session, further preparing them for their upcoming exams.
HSC Trial exams begin on Monday of Week 3 (5th August 2024) and conclude on Monday of Week 5 (19th August 2024). The College would like to wish all our HSC students the best of luck for their exams.
