MACARTHUR CAREERS EXPO
On Thursday, June 6th, 2024, Year 10 students from John Therry Catholic High School attended the Macarthur Careers Expo with great enthusiasm, proudly representing our school.
Throughout the afternoon, our students demonstrated exceptional behaviour and engagement. They interacted thoughtfully with representatives from various universities, TAFE institutions, and trade organisations, asking insightful questions and gathering valuable information to help shape their future career paths. Their curiosity and eagerness to learn were truly commendable.
Students explored a variety of university programs, discussing course options, campus life, and scholarship opportunities. Many representatives praised our students for their mature inquiries and genuine interest in higher education.
For those interested in vocational training and trades, the expo provided a wealth of information. Our students were keen to understand the practical aspects of these pathways and the skills required, engaging in meaningful conversations with industry professionals.
The event organisers and exhibitors provided positive feedback regarding our students' organisation and preparedness, especially with their use of the planning booklets distributed as part of the Transition and Pathways Program (TAPP).
Following the expo, we encourage parents and carers to continue the conversation to guide subject selection and support our students in their future educational and career decisions.
