YEAR 12 BIOLOGY EXCURSION
Year 12 Biology Students Visit the Museum of Human Disease at UNSW
On the 25th of June, Year 12 Biology students embarked on an enlightening visit to the Museum of Human Disease at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The excursion was an invaluable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of both infectious and non-infectious diseases, as well as genetic change and heredity.
One of the highlights of the trip was the chance to view real human specimens. These specimens, donated by patients who had suffered from various diseases, provided a tangible and impactful way for students to connect theory with reality. Seeing the physical manifestations of different diseases helped to solidify the students' understanding and left a lasting impression.
Beyond the educational aspects, the students also had a taste of university life. During their free time, they explored the UNSW campus, soaking in the atmosphere of a bustling university environment. This glimpse into university life was not only enjoyable but also inspiring, as it allowed the students to envision their potential futures in higher education.
