HARMONY DAY
On Thursday 21st March, we celebrated Harmony Day at John Therry. The day featured cultural performances at assembly, Year 8 hosting stalls at recess, and students and staff wearing orange to recognise the day. It was a wonderful celebration of diversity and belonging. One of the great gifts of John Therry is the very diverse community that allows students to meet people of all different faiths and backgrounds. The best way to breakdown myths and stereotypes about a culture is to know people from the culture, and we are fortunate to have that opportunity here at John Therry. Our College community represents what is possible for a diverse, harmonious society and it is important to celebrate this.
