DRONE INCURSION
The first of 4 drone incursions took place on Friday 8th December. We had 25 keen students from years 7-12 participating, most of whom are a part of the WISE club. Our lovely instructor Brooke from SurfLifesaving NSW gave a talk about the uses of drones and about perceptions of gender-bias in professions. The girls then learnt how to do manual flying with the drones followed by flight using coded flight paths. It was great to see the girls picking up these skills so quickly, they were extremely competent drone pilots today, well done! If you are keen to try this in the future please let Dr Harris know.
