YEAR 10 YOUTH OF THE YEAR
In week 7, two year 10 students, Alexander Nohra and Charlotte Russell, competed in a MISA public speaking competition in which they were tasked to write a 6 minute speech on something they were passionate about. Alexander produced an insightful speech about his fears for the future, and Charlotte spoke about her love of music and how it can stand the test of time.
They then had to answer the question “What does success mean to you?” giving an impromptu response. Both students demonstrated their exemplary skills, and answered effortlessly.
Both students, although they didn’t win, spoke with confidence, elegance and professionalism. It takes courage to not only stand up and speak but also produce such amazing, vulnerable speeches. They are truly talented students.
