It’s been a busy start to term 3 for Stage 6 Biology.
In Week 2, year 12 Biology students attended the Museum of Human Disease at the University of NSW. The students attended two lectures on infectious and non-infectious diseases, then moved into the museum to explore the specimens and complete a case study.
Year 12 were also given a taste of university life, as the opportunity to walk around the university and have lunch in the food court.



During Week 3, Year 11 Biology students visited the Mt Annan Botanical Gardens. Students participated in 3 activities where students studied the adaptations of eucalyptus trees, evidence of evolution of the platypus, and adaptations of animals.
The activities involved the students walking through a patch of eucalypt forest, viewing real fossils and petting a snake!
