POLICE LIAISON OFFICER VISIT
On Thursday 25th May, our local Police Liaison Officer Allan Clapham, came out to talk with our Year 7 to 9 students about online safety. He shared the police and legal perspective of online safety and some of the issues facing children and young people at the moment. The talk included addressing issues of young people sharing inappropriate images with others, and consequences of forwarding on any inappropriate images that a young person may receive.
These issues are addressed in our pastoral lessons and PDHPE program, so having students hear this from a Police perspective was valuable to help increase student understanding. Allan Clapham has been a regular visitor over the years and addresses a range of topics with our students as part of our pastoral program. We thank him for his time with us and look forward to having him back later in the year.
