I have been part of the John Therry Catholic College community for four weeks now. Over this short time, I have had the priviledge of welcoming our new Year 7 cohort, celebrating our 2022 HSC High Achievers and teaching classes. As I have met impressive students and worked with our staff, it has become apparent that John Therry Catholic College is set for an outstanding year in 2023. I look forward to what our students will achieve and the learning that will happen. 

I have taught and led in different capacities within two secondary schools across our diocese and have worked within the Catholic Education Office through 2022. Above all else, I am a pasionate English teacher. I was educated at a Marist secondary school and have previously taught at Mount Carmel Catholic College, Varroville, a school in the Marist tradition. As such, I have had a strong sense of "coming home" when returning to a College that is also driven by the Marist charism. I value the focus on purpose and love of work that is held in such high regard at John Therry, and I view the responsibility of supporting and educating our students as an absolute honour. 

I hope to meet many of you in the upcoming weeks at various College events. We are focused on developing and extending our academic culture at John Therry Catholic College, and I thank you in advance for your support of our work.
